Friends of Lyme Library

The Friends are volunteers whose goal is to help the Lyme Library continue meeting the needs of the community.  FOLL Meetings are generally held the second Monday of the month at 10:30 am from September through June in the Library's reading room.  Meetings are open to all, so please drop by and see what's on the agenda.

Join the Friends of Lyme Library (FOLL) and help with Lyme Library projects, programs and services over and beyond those funded by the town budget.

Whether you have just a few hours weekly or monthly, there are plenty of ways to volunteer:

  • Staffing the Front Desk.  Check items in and out, file books, help the Librarian with assorted tasks that do not require any special skills.
  • Setting up art exhibits and suggesting names of artists.
  • Suggesting topics and lining up speakers for evening programs.
  • Bringing refreshments to programs.
  • Helping with publicity.
  • Volunteering at the annual spring book sale (major fundraiser).
  • Helping organize special programs for children.
